Bachelors Degree in relevant technical disciplines or equivalent professional experience is required
o Cisco and Avaya certifications are preferred (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, CVP, ACS, or equivalent)
§ Minimum 2 years LAN/WAN infrastructure, design, implementation, and ongoing management and troubleshooting
Understanding of network operations at Layer 2 and Layer 3
o Excellent working knowledge of DNS and IP address schemes
o In depth experience and knowledge working with various LAN operating networks and high level software and hardware diagnostic procedures.
o Technically competent and knowledgeable of TCP/IP protocol, OSI model, and frame relay communication are necessary; knowledge of other advanced WAN transmission protocols, MPLS is a must.
o Knowledge of routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP (and OSFP) is preferred
